Spinnaker Labs was founded in 2007 by Aaron Kimball to provide knowledge and expertise about scalability and distributed systems. Aaron is a leading educator in the field of scalable distributed data processing.
In Spring 2007, Aaron designed and taught one of the first university courses on web-scale data processing at the University of Washington. He has also trained Google interns on this same technology. Working directly with Christophe Bisciglia, who founded and leads Google's Academic Cluster Computing initiative, he has developed resources to bring cluster computing skills to undergraduates nationwide and around the world.
Aaron continues to provide training to both academic and industry audiences who want to improve their skill sets and learn how scalable computing can help deliver large-scale results. In addition, we offer a variety of specialized consulting services from both design and development perspectives to meet client needs on an individual basis.
